Fresh Limes

Posted by Susan (Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States) on 19 June 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Only in South Florida, do you go to a friend's house to hang at the pool, and find the perfect compliment to a cocktail, hanging on a tree, just waiting to be picked!!

@Sarah: Thanks Sarah...... now, if only I liked limes!!!! I'm a lemon girl!!!!

Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United States

My mouth is puckering just thinking about the delicious, fresh lime juice! vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv3

I went to leave a message at Paul's site and found it closed also. I hope he is okay!

@Judy: Like I just told Sarah....this would be wonderful, if I only liked limes!!!! I'm strictly a lemon girl!!!!

john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United States

Marvelous selective focus and detail. I miss Florida limes.

19 Jun 2009 4:40pm

@john4jack: Jack.... as I told tony, I was trying to do 3 exposures for hdr.... but hand held, and I was just too shaky..... so this is one of the exposures, and I tweaked it a little..... but it must have been the open aperture shot..... cause the background came out as is......
and for Florida limes.... I'd be happy to send you any I come across, since I don't even like 'em!!!! I'm strictly a lemon type girl!!!

Tony Duque from Raleigh, United States

Nice shot, #1! And a nice study in focal point without Focal Point, I'm guessing. Listen... I Googled Lime Girl vs Lemmon Girl and got absolutely nowhere. Care to help us out re their respective characteristics?

19 Jun 2009 6:49pm

@Tony Duque: You guessed right!!! Just open aperture....actually, I was shooting for hdr, with 3 exposures, but because it was hand held, too much shake in my hands that day...that's when I was still taking Lyrica, and all the other drugs, so not much alcohol for me at the party..... so I just worked with one of the exposures.......and it worked out well !!! The difference between Lime Girl and Lemon Girl is just me, being picky!!! I don't really like the flavor of limes.....whenever I get a cocktail that comes with a lime, I either get nothing, or ask for lemon instead!!!! Just a picky girl, that's all........ Hallelujah for Fridays!!!! I could really get used to staying home all the time!!!
Have a nice weekend!!!!

Mexican... as in food!!! Thanks for the laugh though! There's a good dose of lime in all the good stuff - guacamole, pico de gallo, carne asada... Your limes are making me hungry! :)

@Jen: ah yeah.......i guess i must have read it wrong....i thought you said you wanted A Mexican......maybe i didn't get it, since i'm not really a fan of limes!!!
