Rose & BudPosted by Susan (Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States) on 12 June 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. Another from the last "in-home" flower photo shoot I did.......There's just something about these pale pink roses that just warms my heart!! And since I "can not tell a lie"..... it wasn't my perfect use of open aperture for this dof....it was my new favorite plug-in.... Focalpoint!! @jamesy: Thanks Deb.... dof not me..... Photoshop plug-in, Focalpoint!!! Although I'd love to take credit..... @Dawn: Thanks Dawn! Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, CanadaA great shot. And a wonderful job processing with your favorite plug-in. 12 Jun 2009 12:15pm @Lee: Thanks Lee.... not sure if this is my new favorite plug-in, or if it's fractalius....both are tons of fun!! Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United StatesThis is GORGEOUS, Susan ... beautiful lighting and a wonderful focal point. 12 Jun 2009 12:18pm @Judy: When I checked the fort lauderdale location for scott's walk, it was also filled, but the person running it, is allowing additional people to join in......I know the original number was for 50 people...... so I don't know how many of us there will really be in fort lauderdale....... see if your person will allow "extras" too...... @Eleftheria: Yea, WOW !! Tony Duque from Raleigh, United StatesIf, as I assume, this is a more recent effort than the others, then it's clear you're getting better at using your new plug-in. This is really a beautiful picture... and it certainly doesn't smack of pp... which I guess is exactly what you'd want from such software. Does Focalpoint allow you to do things the camera+lens just can't? 12 Jun 2009 2:13pm @Tony Duque: Actually, this was a real rush job, last nite, cause I realized I had nothing posted for today!!! And yes, I think Focal point gives you much greater control over where your "blur" will be, then you can do with the actual camera!!! It's a powerful plug in....it was the reason I had to buy a new laptop!!! marc battault from clermont ferrand, Francesoft delicate shades of the roses, susan! i love it! 12 Jun 2009 2:43pm @marc battault: Thanks much Marc!!! xxooxx !!! john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesNow you can become a lazy-a-- with the camera. Beautifully done. As you know, I am one of those who only cares about the end results. This is lovely. 12 Jun 2009 2:59pm @john4jack: Thanks much Jack....actually, you don't really get lazy with the camera, cause so far, I haven't realized until after I see the shots on the computer, that I can enhance it even more.....I still try to do as much as possible with the camera.....this just gives you a little more to play with in post processing!!! Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesAmong your all time best , Susan. The tonality, light, texture, and fine detail are magnificent. Bravo! 12 Jun 2009 4:19pm @Stephen Phillips: Thanks much Stephen.... what's really funny is..... I really just rushed right thru this last nite, cause I realized there was nothing being posted for today..... I spent the least amount of time on the processing of this.... and I was probably half asleep when I decided enough is enough, and just posted it, without really "caring" any more.... Maybe I should rush thru things more often in the future??!!!?? @peter: Thanks so much Peter!!! @Jen: Thanks jen!!! @Loner: Thanks much for your visit, and comment!! @Graham Russon: Thanks much Graham.... as I told others.... this was a real rush job.... just got lucky with result!!! @john4jack: I knew it was a ha ha.... just further explanation...... :) dkc from Xanthi, GreeceGorgeous photo and great post processing! I believe though that this kind of dof is not that difficult to achieve with a standard lens! I think that you are excited with the new computer and trying new stuff than that you are not able to take credit for that!! 12 Jun 2009 9:32pm @dkc: I agree that the dof could be somewhat similar, by just using the camera....the joy of focal point is it lets you "chose" exactly how much blur you want, and where you want it....either way, it's the final result that counts, as far as I'm concerned....glad you liked it!! :) Barbara from Florida, United StatesI found myself sitting here gazing at this beautiful image. I love the softness, the pale pink tones and how the light defines the edge of the petals. The processing worked perfectly here. Well done. 13 Jun 2009 1:13am @Barbara: Thanks very much...stop back tomorrow for another pink beauty!!! Suzanne from Huntington Bch, California, United StatesExquisite, Susan. Lost the soft colors and bokeh. 13 Jun 2009 4:35am @Suzanne: Thanks Suzanne...... @Anita: Thanks Anita..... |
