Dark end of the Wall

This is a darker section of Wyland's 99th Whaling Wall, depicting the depths of the ocean, where coral reefs are in such danger......and the sky that night had the same sense of foreboding....

@peter: Thanks much Peter..... yes, this wall is quite interesting....so far, you've seen part of one end, and the middle....there's full panel sharks, manatees and dolphins down at the other end..... I'll have to get some more shots and see if I can show you all what the whole thing looks like!!

Oh, wow!... awesome picture, Susan!... it certainly captures the very dynamic sky present that night. Very foreboding, to be sure. I'm curious to know: was there a time earlier in that sunset event, when the clouds flashed more color? This suggest maybe there was more color earlier. But, given that it was a stormy afternoon and evening and your plan was to do a night shoot, you may not know. This really benefited from hdr, too. Thanks for sharing your terrific picture with us!

@Tony Duque: Thanks much Tony, for your more than kind words......Actually, there was not really more color for the sunset, cause at sunset, it was still thundering and lightening out there I think.....this was basically all the color there was afterwards....

That is just incredible, it has such a surreal look and feel to it. The right hand side of the shot, looks like the wall and sky are one. I think a tighter crop, excluding the trees, the light and the bit of pavement in the left corner, could add more drama to the shot.

This is a terrific hdr photo Susan! You captured the clouds with an amazing way and at the same time the wall is glooming with light! Brilliant photo...!!!!

beautiful capture here, Susan, the way the colours in the wall translate up into the sky - wow! And i like the way the palms at the far left give it some scale (and no, not all my spare time on your photos, but i did have to stop somewhere and get something else done ;-)
