Bill Jennings from (Bay Area Northern Calif), United StatesI like the odd number - and the composition of this still life! It's great you can get these brilliant flowers for your own use at home in your photo studio. Looks like natural light? 31 May 2009 5:47am @Bill Jennings: These wonderful flowers came from the Winn Dixie supermarket up the street, and my "photo studio" is the end of my living room, next to the sliding glass doors that go out to the patio!! And yup, natural light is all i have to work with....becomes a problem when thunderstorms set in, and natural light starts to look like night time, in the middle of the afternoon...And finally, instead of using an old black skirt for background, I actually went and bought a piece of black fabric!! So that's all the detail on my "Hi-Tech" photo studio!!! Going back to it momentarily....morning light and a blossoming rose call me...... @Judy: Thanks much, Judy!!! @Eleftheria: thanks! @sylvia: Thanks!! Magda from Vancouver, CanadaGorgeous! The colours are spectacular, Susan! Love the black background 31 May 2009 4:29pm @Magda: Thanks much Magda....I knew when I saw these flowers in the supermarket, that they'd make a spectacular shot!!! I'm really pleased with this one!! @MEC: Thank you!! john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesTerrific composition. Beautifully processed. 31 May 2009 5:21pm @john4jack: Thanks much Jack.....I think I shot it as HDR, but ended up only using one of the exposures!! willow from Chelsea, United StatesThese are gorgeous! I'm loving your "hi-tech" studio work. And in answer to your not-at-all-dumb question - I have no idea what kind of flower my post was today. I tend to shoot first and hope somebody can identify it later. I took that one while in New Orleans a couple of weeks ago. 31 May 2009 5:32pm @willow: Glad you're liking my Hi Tech photo shoots!!! I can even do them in my pj's !!!! ok, now I don't feel bad about asking what the flower was!!! any help from anyone yet on identifying??? Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaWow this is your forte, brilliant shot. Imagine what you could do in a high tech studio. 31 May 2009 7:06pm @Graham Russon: The more I look at this shot, the less the flowers appear "real" to me...but they are, cause they're still in my living room, looking just as good as the day I got them!! And I wouldn't have a clue what to do in a real hi tech studio....I only get it right here at home, quite by accident!!! marc battault from clermont ferrand, Francesusan thank you for this fantastic sun! offers you! 31 May 2009 8:26pm @marc battault: marc, glad you liked them!! xxoxx jamesy from christchurch, New Zealand5 stars with this one just fantastic. love the sound of your studio 31 May 2009 10:53pm @jamesy: Thanks much Debbie....yea, anyone can have an "in home" studio like mine!!!
