Posted by Susan (Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States) on 30 May 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

These gerber daisies are just sooooo colorful....I really love them a lot....this is still a shot from the in-home photo shoot this past week...but as you are viewing this, i hope to be attending a pool party, which will be my second outing in almost 6 weeks!!! So maybe some different shots will result!!!

Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United States

Gerberas are so photogenic ... they hold nice and stil' for their portraits! :D

30 May 2009 12:21pm

@Judy: Yea, they really hold nice and still when they're in your house, not out in the almost constant breeze that blows around here, from being so close to the ocean.....not a big breeze, but just enough so that flowers don't stand still!!!

Lila from Hawaii, United States

nice photo; these are some of my favorite flowers too! though with flowers, i can't really pick favorites...

30 May 2009 12:55pm

@Lila: Thanks Lila..you brought up a good point...Gerbers were my faves till yesterday, when I brought home some beautiful sunflowers...today, THEY are my faves!!

Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, Canada

Another beautiful composition. I hope you enjoy yourself at the pool party. Don't over do it.

30 May 2009 1:05pm

@Lee: Thanks much Lee.....I will definitely take your advice on the party later today.....although the way the weather has been around here the last 2 weeks or so, by the time the party starts at 12:30....it could change from a pool party to a house party....constant thunder storms have beat us up for the last week or so.....but for me, just seeing other human beings will be a joy, after being locked up in the house for most of the last 6 weeks!!

@willow: Nothing like a beautiful flower.......Don't hold your breath for pool party pics...it rained pretty much all day, and wasn't really conducive to playing with the camera.....maybe one or two from their new garden, but that's all I shot.....

@bronzebilly u.k.: Thanks much Billy...I've had plenty of time lately stuck in the house to do all these flowers....I got really frustrated with not being able to go out and use my camera, so I brought the flowers in where I could play with them!!! Glad you liked them!!!
