To finish out the week, one more shot from my most favorite place to visit on the weekends, Butterfly World in Coconut Creek, FL. I can go for a few hours in the afternoon, and shoot 300-400 shots, and I'm lucky when I end up with one like this!!

Wonderful shot, Susan!... terrific color & detail. I've sure enjoyed this series and your visit to the archive, even if forced! Now, I know you'll pardon my ignorance if it's showing... at 238 mm, this shot was taken with a telephoto from close-up, rather than with a macro, right?

@Tony Duque: the old 70-300 telephoto i had (now in my brother's posession), and a built-in macro function, that you could switch to with a lock on the side of the lens.....hope that answers your question, cause technically, that's all i know!!! glad you liked this whole thing frm butterfly world....tomorrow starts things i've shot in the house in the past few days....purchased flowers...since I still can't go running around.....

@Judy: Thanks much Judy....I really don't think it was anything i "did" that caused my problem....it seems I've had herniated disks for at least 4 years, they just never bothered me.....And I'm pretty certain that stress caused the disk to start being inflamed.....and I'm pretty sure that stress was caused by work, and unfortunately, that's where I will have to go back to, soon.....Hopefully, the stress level will have subsided....

Now I am admiring so much your photo! I tried today to catch a first butterfly of this spring by my camera, but he was so thrilled, that he did not stay anywhere for me :)

@Leena: Yes, butterflies are not the easiest to catch....and i find they fly around more, when there's lots of sunlight.....

@Lee: The only problem is, the butterflies are more abundant when the weather is warm and sunny....the best time is in the summer, and that's when you can only be out there for an hour or so, due to the extreme heat & humidity....seems that weather that butterflies love, is not so loved by us humans.....
