Dock on the Bay

Posted by Susan (Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States) on 5 May 2009 in Architecture and Portfolio.

Back at Vizcaya, this is the dock that sits on Biscayne Bay, and used to be much larger, and used for large vessels. That's the city of Miami that you see in the distant background, and on the right, is part of the barge that I posted the other day.

Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United States

Oh, Susan, I'm glad you now know exactly what you're dealing with ... not knowing is the pits. You will have to lay low until you can have your procedure done ... just take it easy.

PS: Speaking of not knowing, that's where I sit at the moment, w/a mass in one kidney. :(
I have a consultation Friday.

5 May 2009 12:38pm

@Judy: Judy, you're absolutely right about not knowing what's happening...,.I really was making myself nuts thinking the worst.....I hope that you get an answer Friday that eases your mind!! This getter older thing is for the birds!!! I will keep you in my thoughts.....as I know you are doing for me!!!

roamin from Nova Scotia, Canada

Love the strong, yet muted, tones, the quality of light,
the play of concrete and stone on wood and water.
Cheers!

7 May 2009 12:53am

@roamin: Thanks much for your comments....But I don't think there is any wood on the dock or the barge...it's all stone.

willow from Chelsea, United States

I recognize the poles from the other day - I like that you have made them the focus here - they are quite interesting and deserving of the spotlight.
