Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandFantastic composition!!! The sky looks musical...I'm not sure how to describe what I mean by that!!! Its wonderful!!! 29 Apr 2009 6:38am @Linerberry: Thanks much Liner.....I know exactly what you mean when you said "musical"!! That's a great word to describe the sky!! Ravi from Bangalore, IndiaFabulous work. The color of the water is so serene. Sky looks amazing. The view of the wooden bridge is very well captured. A 5* shot. 29 Apr 2009 9:38am @Ravi: Thanks much Ravi.....It was a very peaceful day on the ocean..... dkc from Xanthi, GreeceLovely hdr result! It would be even better if you could capture more clouds but still an amazing shot! 29 Apr 2009 9:41am @dkc: Thanks DKC....only way I could have gotten more clouds was if I lost the bottom of the shot, and I kind of liked the way the pier railing looks.......Either lose the bottom of the shot, or have a wider lens than the 11m i used!! @Lee: Thanks Lee!! john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesTerrific composition and processing. Well captured. 29 Apr 2009 2:12pm @john4jack: Thanks much Jack!!! @Eleftheria: Thanks much El !! @cassiel: Thanks for visiting and commenting too!! @peter: I know what you mean, Peter....I just stayed out on that pier looking back for a long time!! Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaBrilliant shot, the sky is marvelous, but I particularly like the textures in the wood. 29 Apr 2009 7:30pm @Graham Russon: Thanks much Graham......although that wood is fairly new, since the pier was destroyed by a hurricane a few years ago, it weathers quickly, being exposed to the salt water all the time!! Tony Duque from Raleigh, United StatesWonderful shot, Susan! You really nailed the colors... in the musical blue sky (it looks like a busy piece of hand-written sheet music, scrawled with lots of raucous notes), the hint of green in the water, and the touch of gray in the not-so-new-anymore wood. Really nice work, all the way around! Thanks for sharing this one! 29 Apr 2009 9:10pm @Tony Duque: Thanks Tony, glad you liked it!!! K.B.R from SwitzerlandI like this guideline that guides the gaze to the horizon, I also like the light and contrast 29 Apr 2009 9:13pm @K.B.R: Thanks much for your v&c!!! MontereyJohn from Salinas, California, United StatesOh my, long time since I've been there, 25+ years. Thanks for the memories! BTW - great image. 30 Apr 2009 1:27am @MontereyJohn: Thanks John....You really remember Anglin's Pier from back then??? Small world!! @jamesy: Yup, there's nothing like the light in late afternoon at the beach....it's my favorite time there, that, and sunrise....but being that i'm not really a morning person, I don't catch many sunrises at the beach!! @mangAnto: Thanks for visiting and commenting. I appreciate it!! @Anouk: Thanks much!! Lindsay from North Carolina, United StatesMan! Awesome comp and the color is amazing. 1 May 2009 12:44am @Lindsay: Thanks Lindsay.,..nothing like an hdr to bring out the beautiful colors ..... willow from Chelsea, United StatesI like the way the angle of the walk mirrors that of the cloud lines. Beautiful colors. 2 May 2009 12:58am @willow: I hadn't even noticed that the pier is the same angle as the cloud formation!! You are quite observant!!! Glad you liked it!! ishm from dubai, United Arab EmiratesPerfect! Love the perspective. The best fishing pier i've seen to date..Take good care of yourself Susan. 8 May 2009 10:42am @ishm: Thanks much for your kind words!!! Jet from Western WA, United Statesoutstanding shot - the way you've captured it keeps me moving deeper and deeper into the shot - i've missed this ;-) 16 Jun 2009 3:40pm @Jet: Gee, you've not been out here in awhile, if you've gone all the way back to april shots!!!! glad you liked this one!! |
