Moonrise over the OceanPosted by Susan (Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States) on 14 January 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. On Saturday, January 10, 2009, the full moon was at it's perigee, which means it is closest to the earth that night, due to its' elliptical orbit. The newspaper stated the moon was about 34000 miles closer to the earth this night than normal, and this only happens once a year. I caught this perigee moon, coming up over the ocean in Florida. Cool News !!! I've been invited to join a site by StuckinCustoms, my hdr guru, where the best of the best post their hdr work!!! Check out this site.....I think I've got 3 shots out there already, if you scoll thru!!
